Should "Gentile" Believers Celebrate the Feasts?

“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.

Matthew 5:17-18 NLT

Heaven and earth have not yet passed away, therefore, God's law (better translated as teachings or instructions) remains in effect for our provision and protection. When Yeshua came to fulfill the law, He brought purpose and meaning to the law as He lived it out perfectly. God's will for our lives is carried out through our obedience to keep His commands. Yeshua said, “If you love me, obey my commandments." John 14:15 NLT

Because Yeshua fulfilled the law perfectly, those who abide in Him are no longer subject to the eternal consequences of failing to live up to God's standards. We are now free to live by faith through the Holy Spirit who convicts us to obey and follow Yeshua's example.

Numbers 9:14 is one of many verses that differentiates and lists native-born, slave, and foreigner as a way to clarify and emphasize the all-inclusive participation in the feasts of the LORD! This was to make clear to the Israelites that they were not to keep God's redemptive plan to themselves. Salvation is both for the Jew and the Gentile.

A foreigner residing among you is also to celebrate the Lord’s Passover in accordance with its rules and regulations. You must have the same regulations for both the foreigner and the native-born.

Numbers 9:14

We joyfully celebrate the former rain (spring feasts) in remembrance of Yeshua's first coming as He fulfilled Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Firstfruits, and Feast of Weeks.

Now, we eagerly celebrate the latter rain (fall feasts) in anticipation of when Yeshua will return as promised to gather His people and establish His kingdom here on earth. These feasts are not just celebrated in remembrance but as rehearsals!
