The Former Rain for Spring Feasts

"He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth." Hosea 6:3 NKJV

Each Feast is God's Appointment with Us

"Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years." Genesis 1:14 NLT

The Hebrew word used in Genesis 1:14 for seasons is moed, which means appointed time, place, or meeting. From the very beginning, God marked His appointments (like a save the date!) with us that we would know and be ready to meet with Him.

Leviticus 23 reads, "These are the Lord’s appointed festivals, which you are to proclaim as official days for holy assembly."

These festivals are like God's itinerary of times, places, and events given to us that we might know and understand His plan for salvation past, present, and future. This is what we call prophecy and so far, the Bible has hit 100% accuracy, thus strengthening our faith. Tragically, many did not pay attention to the signs, times, and season of His first coming and they missed His appointment. In fact, Yeshua wept when He arrived at His first appointed time "because [they] did not recognize it when God visited [them]." Luke 19:44 NLT

May we not miss His next coming!

Our journey begins with the former rain, winter rains that lead to the spring feasts (harvests). We celebrate these feasts in remembrance since the fullness of their meaning has already been fulfilled by Yeshua's first coming. Let us do this in remembrance!
